NBAA, in conjunction with the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign, offers an extensive variety of printed materials, online content and other resources for those in the business aviation community to utilize when speaking to local elected officials across the country. At least one aircraft brokerage company has also discovered how these resources serve as effective tools when speaking to first-time aircraft buyers.

Introduced in October at the 2014 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2014), the Business Leaders on Business Aviation booklet features testimonials from 25 CEOs from companies of all sizes, with each executive affirming how business aviation helps their companies be more nimble, productive and successful. Those messages are of particular interest to people seeking information about their first-ever business aircraft, said Blake Tumbleson, owner of Tumbleson Aviation Consulting, LLC in Murfreesboro, TN.

Tumbleson recently ordered multiple copies of Business Leaders on Business Aviation, which he terms a “wonderful first step” toward educating buyers about the many benefits of utilizing a business aircraft.

“It’s understandable that purchasing an aircraft for the first time can be a daunting proposition,” he explained. “You don’t want to make the wrong decision, and it helps to follow in the footsteps of those before you who have had success.”

This isn’t the first time Tumbleson has used NBAA resources to support his business. He also regularly employs NBAA’s Business Aviation Fact Book, which details the broad scope and value of business aviation through real-world information and data about its value to citizens, companies and communities across the country.

“I think NBAA does a fantastic job in demonstrating that successful companies don’t simply go out and buy an aircraft; those enterprises are successful [in part] because they own an aircraft,” Tumbleson noted. “There’s so much information out there for first-time buyers to take in throughout the process, so it helps to have these resources demonstrating the value of owning an aircraft to help grow their business and improve their lives.”

Expanding on the successful Top Ten advocacy resource introduced at NBAA2013, Business Leaders on Business Aviation features testimonials from such executives as Kohler Co. Chairman and CEO Herb Kohler, Bass Pro Shops CEO Johnny Morris, Salamander Hotels & Resorts CEO Sheila Johnson, Enterprise Holdings Executive Chairman Andrew Taylor and more.
