Salt Lake City Officials to Meet About SLC Taxiway on May 5
The Salt Lake City, UT Department of Airports is hosting a discussion concerning the status of taxiway K2 at Salt Lake City International AIrport (SLC) from 1 to 3 p.m.on May 5 at the Kibbie Executive Terminal at SLC, 37 North 2370 West Salt Lake City. The discussion will include a description and history of incursion problems on the taxiway, efforts of the airport to improve safety at the intersection and the current status of the taxiway. NBAA Members are welcome to attend, and teleconference capability will be provided for those who cannot make it in person. Minnesota Group to Meet May 13
The Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA) will hold a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. on May 13 at Hangar 2, Signature Flight Support, at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, 3800 East 70th Street, Minneapolis. The featured speaker will be Jason Karadimas, a demonstration captain with Bombardier Business Aircraft Division Flight Operations and advocate of aviation safety. Southern California Group to Host Annual Benefit May 18
The Southern California Aviation Association (SCAA) is hosting its 8th annual Golf Tournament Benefit from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 18 at The Crossings at Carlsbad. Nebraska Group to Hold Golf Tournament May 19
The Nebraska Business Aviation Association (NeBAA) will hold its 15th annual golf tournament on Tuesday May 19 at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha, NE. The proceeds from this event will benefit NeBAA, the NeBAA Scholarship Fund, NeBAA-supported charities such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The NeBAA Scholarship Fund assists students who are pursuing careers in business aviation as pilots, mechanics and aviation administrators who are attending aviation programs throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa. Tampa Group to Host 4th Annual Golf and Charity Event on May 29
The Tampa Bay Aviation Association's annual Golf and Charity Event has raised over $32,000 for All Children's Hospital and Largo/Clearwater Guild to date. The 4th annual tournament will be held from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 29, 2015, at 11602 Westchase Golf Drive, Tampa, FL. Many sponsorships are available and players must register by May 24. Northern California Group Holds Safety Day May 12
The Northern California Business Aviation Association (NCBAA) is hosting its annual Safety Day, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on May 12 at the St. Claire Hotel in San Jose, CA. This year's event focuses on emergency preparedness and response, and is presented by Don Chupp of Fireside Partners. This program will address many of the factors that differentiate a truly prepared organization from one that has not had the time or internal knowledge to engineer an effective program. The cost to attend is $95 for NCBAA members and $125 for non-members. This workshop is approved for credit toward the Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) program. Learn more.
Massachusetts Group Hosting 2nd Annual Aviation Day May 13
The Massachusetts Business Aviation Association (MBAA) will hold its 2nd Annual Aviation Day at Hanscom Field (BED) in Bedford, MA on May 13. There will be an operator program at Rectrix Aviation on the airport from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by a static display of aircraft and an evening reception until 8 p.m. MBAA Member Companies are entitled to two complimentary tickets. 12th Annual LIBAA/LIPAMA Golf Outing and Aerospace Education Benefit Is May 20
The Long Island Business Aviation Association (LIBAA) and the Long Island Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (LIPAMA) will host their 20th annual golf outing on May 20 in Manorville, NY. The event will be held from noon to 8:30 p.m. at Rock Hill Country Club. The tournament will raise funds for LIBAA, LIPAMA and the Aerospace Education Corporation.
