Northern California Group Meeting in Mountain View, July 8
The Northern California Business Aviation Association (NCBAA) will hold the next meeting in its luncheon speaker series on July 8 in Mountain View, CA. The luncheon is sponsored by Gulfstream, and guest speaker Lor Izzard, director of technical marketing, will discuss the entry into service program for the G280. Minnesota Business Aviation Association Will Meet at MSP on July 9
The Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA) will hold a lunch meeting on Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) on July 9 at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Target Hangar and is sponsored by Textron Aviation. For more information, visit the MBAA website.
Chicago Group Meeting at Palwaukee Municipal on July 10
The Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA) will hold a lunch meeting on July 10 at Palwaukee Municipal Airport (PWK) in Wheeling, IL. Held at Hawthorne Global Aviation Services (PWK), the luncheon will start with networking at 11 a.m. Gulfstream will have a G280 and G650 on static display and will make a presentation on the aircraft at 1 p.m. The FBO is located at 1120 South Milwaukee Avenue on the airport. Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop Coming to Greater DC Area on July 15
The International Business Aviation Council holds a series of workshops to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO). A Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop will be held on July 15 in Alexandria, VA, and this event qualifies for NBAA Professional Development Program credit. See the full IS-BAO workshop schedule.
Ohio Group Holding a Schedulers & Dispatchers Seminar in Columbus, July 17
The Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association (ORBAA) will hold a Schedulers & Dispatchers Seminar on July 17 at the Polaris Hilton in Columbus, OH. The event starts with lunch and networking at 12 noon. The featured speakers include Nel Stubbs from Conklin & de Decker and Dr. Dustin Dixon from Bob Evans. Following their presentations, ORBAA will hold its first annual S&D Bowling Event at Star Lanes Polaris. The Hilton is located at 8700 Lyra Drive. Michigan Golf Tournament to Benefit Aviation Scholarships, July 22
The Michigan Business Aviation Association’s (MBAA’s) 14th Annual Golf Classic on July 22 will raise money for aviation scholarship programs in Michigan. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m., and registration will include both lunch and an awards dinner. NBAA’s Bob Lamond and FAA to Participate in Utah Airspace Update, Aug. 7
The Utah Business Aviation Association (UBAA) will hold an Airspace Update Luncheon on Aug. 7 at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). Guest speakers Wayne VanDeGraaff, support manager for airspace and procedures at the FAA’s Salt Lake City ARTCC, and Bob Lamond, NBAA director of air traffic services and infrastructure, will participate in an interactive discussion on current airspace challenges in Utah. Georgia Group Hosting Annual Safety Day in Atlanta, Aug. 21
The Georgia Business Aviation Association (GBAA) will host its 9th Annual Safety Day on Aug. 21 at the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel. The hotel is located at One Hartsfield Center Parkway, Atlanta, GA. More details will be posted soon to the GBAA website.
Greater Washington-Area Charity Tournament Planned for Sept. 11
The Greater Washington Business Aviation Association (GWBAA) will host its 10th Annual Golf Tournament and Charity Benefit on Sept. 11 at the 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, VA. The tournament supports the Aero Club of Washington Foundation's educational programs and raises money for the Corporate Angel Network. Tampa Bay Aviation Association’s 4th Annual Safety Standdown Is Sept. 18
The Tampa Bay Aviation Association (TBAA) will hold its 4th Annual Safety Standdown on Sept. 18 at Tampa Executive Airport (VDF). The full-day event will be held at Volo Aviation on the airport from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees are invited to fly in that morning. Southern California Group to Hold 6th Annual Safety Standdown on Sept. 22
The Southern California Aviation Association (SCAA) will hold its 6th Annual Safety Standdown on Sept. 22 in Carlsbad, CA. The full-day event will provide safety insights on all facets of a flight operation, including a presentation on over-reliance on automation in the cockpit. Kansas Aviation Expo to Highlight Business Aviation
The Southern The second annual Kansas Aviation Expo, slated for Sept. 22 to 26, will showcase business aviation as part of the event's presentation on the importance of aviation to the state. This year's expo, the theme of which is "Where Dreams Come True," will include a career fair and three-day air tour of the state, said Jesse Romo, director of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s aviation division. South Carolina Group Co-Hosting Southeast Aviation Expo This September
The South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) is co-hosting the 2014 Southeast Aviation Expo on Sept. 26 and 27 at Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU). The event will provide pilots from around the southern region a showcase on the latest products on the market and educational programming. South Carolina Aviation Association Sets 2015 Conference Dates
The South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) will host its Annual Conference from Feb. 11 to 13 in Isle of Palms, SC. The conference provides the only statewide forum for airport professionals, aviation industry leaders and pilots to meet and share industry updates with the FAA, Transportation Security Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, SC Aeronautics Commission and other regulators.
