The Business Aviation Safety Seminar (BASS), formerly known as the Corporate Aviation Safety Seminar, is an annual forum for examining safety matters of special concern to business aviation in North America. Founded by Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) in 1955 and co-sponsored by NBAA since 1998, the 58th Annual Business Aviation Safety Seminar will be held on April 10 and 11, 2013, at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada.
At this annual forum, operators meet with industry leaders, government officials and university researchers for a comprehensive review of business aviation safety issues. Participants find the right blend of technical presentations, informal discussion, personal interaction and exhibits.
Each BASS presentation aims to deliver useful, specific information directly applicable to business aviation operations. In 2013, presenters will examine such topics as international flight operations (e.g., fatigue, training), ICAO impact on business aviation, professionalism, criminalization of accidents, complacency in business aviation safety, runway excursion issues, post-maintenance check flights, NexGen updates and more.
BASS also provides exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities to give companies visibility at this event. Direct questions to FSF's Kelcey Mitchell at firstname.lastname@example.org or NBAA's Sandy Wirtz at email@example.com.
