EBACE2008 Opening General Session Is Next Week
The European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2008) will take place in Geneva, Switzerland next week from May 20 to 22. The event
will kick off on May 20 with an Opening General Session moderated by NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen and European Business Aviation Association CEO
Eric Mandemaker, and featuring astronaut Claude Nicollier and European Commission officer Daniel Calleja. Additional agenda highlights include a
session on the single European sky air traffic management research (SESAR) project and a discussion on business aviation safety issues led by
International Business Aviation Council personnel. Nearly 300 Exhibitors featuring the latest products and services available in business aviation

Exciting Plans in Store for NBAA2008
Planning is well underway for NBAA's 61st Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2008). Some of the highlights for this year's show which will
take place this year on Monday, October 6 through Wednesday, October 8, instead of the usual Tuesday-to-Thursday schedule include Opening
General Session speakers Roberto Kobeh Gonzalez, president of the International Civil Aviation Organization, and famed political couple James
Carville and Mary Matalin. In addition, the NBAA Charities Benefit Gala will feature world-class entertainment from The Blues Brothers, featuring Dan
Aykroyd and Jim Belushi, as well as the NBAA Charities Live and Silent Benefit Auctions. This year's Convention will be held at Orlando's Orange

NBAA's inaugural Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference (LBA), developed specifically for operators of light aircraft utilized for

Regional Forum in Las Vegas Is a Success
The NBAA Regional Forum held recently on Henderson Executive Airport (HND) in Las Vegas, NV was a success, with nearly 800 Attendees and a sold-out
exhibit floor. The event featured 58 indoor exhibits, 11 outdoor exhibits and 20 aircraft on static display. NBAA Regional Forums are one-day
learning and networking events for the regional business aviation community and local business leaders interested in learning more about business

FSF/NBAA's Safety-Oriented Event Is a Record-Breaker
Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) and NBAA partnered for the 53rd Annual Corporate Aviation Safety Seminar (CASS) from April 29 to May 1 in Palm Harbor,
FL. Approximately 450 people and a record number of Exhibitors participated in the three-day event, where business aviation operators met with
industry leaders, government officials and university researchers to review business aviation safety issues. The annual event has been co-presented

13th Annual NBAA Flight Attendants Conference Will Have Global Focus
The 13th Annual NBAA Flight Attendants Conference will take place from June 27 to 28 in Tucson, AZ. The theme for this year's event is "Going Global,
New Challenges for Today's Flight Attendants." Keynote speaker Terri Morrison, author of several books on the cultural issues involved when doing
business in different countries, will offer guidelines for successfully serving international travelers. Additional session topics will include

NBAA will offer a Business Aviation Taxes Forum at the New York Marriott Downtown in New York, NY on May 30. This event is designed to help
accountants, attorneys, advisors and flight department personnel keep up with the latest tax and legal developments affecting business aviation.
Presenters will address a variety of current tax topics at an intermediate-to-advanced level. Discussion topics will include Federal Aviation

NBAA Seeks New Director, Conventions
The NBAA Conventions, Seminars & Forums Division is seeking a director, conventions. This position reports directly to the senior vice president,
conventions, seminars & forums, and supports the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention, European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition
(EBACE), Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) and newly launched NBAA Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference
(LBA). This position has direct responsibility for the housing function and special events at all NBAA shows. Housing duties include negotiating
contracts, assigning room blocks for Exhibitors and Attendees, determining flow patterns, and handling all staff, VIP and support vendor rooming.

Maintenance Scholarship Recipients Announced During
Conference
NBAA and its Maintenance Committee recently recognized 20 recipients of the 2008 Maintenance Technical Reward and Career Scholarship (TRACS) at
NBAA's Maintenance Management Conference in Daytona Beach, FL. Currently in its third year, Maintenance TRACS is sponsored by the business aviation
industry. Included among the program's supporters are aircraft, engine and avionics manufacturers, maintenance training providers and other industry
sponsors. The Maintenance TRACS is open to current and future airframe and powerplant certificate holders and other individuals interested in
developing their technical and professional career paths in business aviation maintenance. Award recipients are able to attend model-specific courses
