NBAA's Local LBA2009 Committee Understands Light Business Airplane Operators' Unique
Needs
Industry figures with first-hand knowledge of light business aircraft operations have formed a committee to help plan NBAA's inaugural Light Business
Airplane Exhibition & Conference (LBA2009), scheduled for March 1214, 2009 in San Diego, CA. Mike Herman of NBAA's Board of Directors, a
Cessna Citation Jet single-pilot operator, chairs the committee. Joining Herman is Fred George, aircraft expert and author of Business &
Commercial Aviation magazine's annual Purchase Planning Handbook, a respected reference on light business airplanes and other aircraft.
Committee member Austin Blue is president of Spectrum Aeronautical and a member of the San Diego Area Young Presidents Organization. Also on the
committee are renowned aviation educators John and Martha King, who will offer LBA2009 Attendees a complimentary online King Schools course valued at
$395. Additional committee members include John Bracamonte of Landmark; Grant Wright of Wright-On Communications; Ken Kaplan and Rich Martindell of

Exhibitor Deadline for LBA2009 Is Aug. 15
There is still time to secure exhibit space for NBAA's first-ever Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference, which will be held at San
Diego's award-winning convention center. LBA2009 will serve as the industry's premier event dedicated to companies that use light business airplanes
to help them succeed. Specifically, LBA2009 will focus on operators of light jets, turboprops and piston airplanes. NBAA is extending invitations to
concept buyers to ensure that those who would like to have full control of their business travel know how to get started. Exhibitors from every
segment of light airplane business aviation are welcome, and there are approximately 1,000 exhibit spaces to fill. The event will include a Static
Display of Aircraft at Landmark Aviation Services on San Diego-Lindbergh Field Airport (SAN), featuring nearly 50 light business airplanes. The booth

NBAA2008 Is Only Two Months Away; Register Online Now
NBAA's 61st Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2008) is expected to draw thousands of Attendees from around the world to Orlando, FL, Monday
October 6 through Wednesday October 8 a departure from the usual Tuesday-to-Thursday schedule. The event will be located at the Orange County
Convention Center, with a Static Display of Aircraft at Orlando Executive Airport (ORL). Register online in advance for this year's Convention to
save money and time. Advance registration is $150; on-site registration is $200. Those who register in advance can speed their entrance to the

NBAA Convention Opening General Session to Feature Industry Leaders
As in years past, NBAA2008 will feature an Opening General Session (OGS) that includes leaders from industry and government. International Civil
Aviation Organization President Roberto Kobeh González, recognized for his life-long contributions to civil aviation in Central America, will
give the keynote address on Monday, October 6 at 8:30 am. Additionally, the OGS will feature the well-known political couple James Carville and Mary
Matalin, who will offer their perspectives on the November presidential election, marking the duo's second appearance at an NBAA Annual Meeting &

NBAA, BBA/Signature Flight Support and KaBOOM! Join for NBAA
Playground Build 2008 Design Day
NBAA, BBA/Signature Flight Support and KaBOOM! a national non-profit group recently came together with local Orlando residents to plan
the design for a new aviation-themed playground that will be built in conjunction with the Association's 61st Annual Meeting & Convention. Over
75 children and 50 adults from the Hollowbrook Apartments neighborhood provided ideas and selected components for the playground, which will be built
in one day with help from NBAA Member Companies and community residents. Nearly 300 volunteers will be needed to make NBAA Build 2008 a success. Gary
Boekenkamp, vice president, strategy and business development, BBA Aviation, will serve as the Local Project Chair for NBAA Build 2008. Those in
attendance will receive a free t-shirt, sponsored by BBA/Signature, and help make the community brighter for the local children by giving them a safe

The NBAA 12th Annual Chairman's Charity Classic Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at the ChampionsGate Golf Resort in
