NBAA's 61st Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2008) is expected to draw thousands of Attendees from around the world to Orlando, FL on Monday
October 6 through Wednesday October 8 a departure from the usual Tuesday-to-Thursday schedule. The event will be located at the Orange County
Convention Center, with a Static Display of Aircraft at Orlando Executive Airport (ORL). Register online in advance for this year's Convention to
save money and time. Advance registration is $150; on-site registration is $200. Those who register in advance can speed their entrance to the

NBAA to Honor Boyer and Saling During Convention in
Orlando
The NBAA Board of Directors has announced the recipients of the Association's annual Meritorious Service to Aviation and John P. "Jack" Doswell
Awards. Phil Boyer, president of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, will receive the 2008 NBAA Award for Meritorious Service to Aviation,
and George Saling, former vice president of Aviation & Travel Services for Altria Corporate Services, Inc., will receive the 2008 NBAA John P.
"Jack" Doswell Award. "NBAA is proud to recognize these two outstanding members of the aviation community for their tireless leadership efforts and
dedication to enhancing the industry," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. Boyer and Saling will receive their awards during the NBAA 61st Annual

NBAA Convention Opening General Session to Feature Industry
Leaders
As in years past, NBAA2008 will feature an Opening General Session (OGS) that includes leaders from industry and government. International Civil
Aviation Organization President Roberto Kobeh González, recognized for his life-long contributions to civil aviation in Central America, will
give the keynote address on Monday, October 6 at 8:30 a.m. Additionally, the OGS will feature the well-known political couple James Carville and Mary
Matalin, who will offer their perspectives on the November presidential election, marking the duo's second appearance at an NBAA Annual Meeting &

4th Annual NBAA Charities Auctions Accepting Donations
Donations are still being accepted for NBAA's 4th Annual Charities Auctions. The Live and Silent Auctions support NBAA Charities, a charitable fund
established to provide assistance from the Association and the business aviation community to entities using business aircraft for humanitarian
efforts. Beneficiaries include Corporate Angel Network, Angel Flight, ORBIS and Veterans AirLift Command. The Live Auction will be held during the

Hundreds of Volunteers Needed to Help Build Orlando
Playground
NBAA, BBA Aviation/Signature Flight Support and KaBOOM!, a national non-profit group, will join with Orlando residents and NBAA Member Companies to
build a new aviation-themed playground in conjunction with NBAA2008. The playground will be built in one day, and nearly 300 volunteers will be
needed to make NBAA Build 2008 a success. Serving as project chair will be Gary Boekenkamp, vice president, strategy and business development, BBA

2009 Regional Forum Schedule Announced
The NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forum schedule for 2009 has been announced. The locations and dates for next year include: Dallas Love Field
(DAL) in Dallas, TX on April 9; Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) in Minneapolis, MN on June 25; and Henderson Executive Airport (HND) in Las Vegas,
NV on September 17. NBAA Regional Forums bring business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry personnel together
for one-day events at premier airports and fixed base operators in the U.S. and abroad, and are designed to meet the needs of regional business

The NBAA 20th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference will be held next year from January 13 to 16 at the Long Beach Convention

ABACE Returns to Hong Kong in February
The 2009 NBAA Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2009) will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday, February 11 and Thursday,
February 12. Indoor exhibits will be located at the AsiaWorld-Expo, with a Static Display of Aircraft at the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre. This
year's event was an enormous success, with a total of 1,131 people and 29 Exhibitors in attendance, and numerous sessions featuring industry experts
