News & Announcements
NBAA Continues to Promote the Message: No Plane No Gain
Business aviation plays a vital role for citizens, companies and communities across the United States. Educating the public about this fact is the central idea behind No Plane No Gain, a comprehensive advocacy initiative for the business aviation community. Sponsored by NBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, No Plane No Gain uses a multifaceted media approach to remind policymakers and opinion leaders that business aviation produces more than a million jobs, provides a lifeline to communities across the U.S. without airline service, helps companies be more productive and efficient, and provides support for humanitarian efforts. Reach Business Aviation's Most Active Purchasers of Products and Services
From October 20 to 22 in Orlando, FL, NBAA's 62nd Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2009) will provide a premier venue for putting business aviation products and services in front of thousands of customers in one place, at one time, saving companies time and money. Survey results show that a high percentage of those attending the NBAA Convention are decision-makers who can influence the purchasing process, such as by having the final say on a purchase, specifying a supplier or recommending products and services for purchase. NBAA Members are the industry's most active purchasers of products and services, and your company shouldn't miss this unique opportunity to gain face-to-face interaction with prospective customers. Who's Exhibiting at NBAA2009? Companies Just Like Yours
For hundreds of NBAA Members, the Association's Annual Meeting & Convention remains a must-have on the marketing calendar, even in these tough economic times. For example, Rocky Mountain Propellers says the Convention has been a major contributor to its success for more than a decade. With only nine employees at the Erie, CO business, the Convention enables Rocky Mountain Propellers to reach out and build the business in a way that would be impossible to do solely from their small operation. "Between the customers we pick up there and the word-of-mouth that sends new customers to us while we're there, over the years our business has continued to pick up, and a lot of that has to do with the show," said company spokeswoman Nancy Todoverto. NBAA2009 Program to Include New Light Business Airplane Sessions
For the first time, NBAA2009 will offer two days of Education Sessions tailored to light business airplane (LBA) owners, pilots and entrepreneurs who may be considering the value an airplane can provide to their business. Sessions will identify the top five things that aspiring LBA operators should know; considerations for entrepreneurs wishing to upgrade their aircraft; and technologies available to help owners make the least expensive and most effective use of these aircraft. The LBA sessions are being offered in addition to traditional sessions on topics such as safety and risk management, maintenance and technical issues, airspace and airport access, aircraft and flight operations, aviation management and aircraft ownership, and career and leadership development. Support Corporate Angel Network by Attending the NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit
NBAA Members are cordially invited to attend the 2009 NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit with Live and Silent Auctions. The sole beneficiary of this year's Charity Benefit is Corporate Angel Network (CAN), a charitable organization that eases the burden of travel for cancer patients by arranging free flights to treatment centers using empty seats on business aircraft. Attending the Charity Benefit is an ideal way for companies to show support for CAN, which is more important now than ever in this economic climate. The event will be held on October 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Rosen Centre Hotel. Tickets cost $195 per individual ticket, $1,800 per table of 10, and $2,200 per premium seating table of 10. To purchase tickets, contact NBAA's Cheryl Padilla at cpadilla@nbaa.org. Learn more about CAN at:

Help Ensure Success of NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit by Donating Auction Items
NBAA is now accepting donations, such as aviation-themed items of interest, for this year's Live and Silent Auctions, which will raise money for Corporate Angel Network in conjunction with the NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit on October 21. Silent Auction items will be on display at the Orange County Convention Center during the three days of the show, with bidding only available during the Charity Benefit Reception the evening of October 21. The Live Auction will take place during the Charity Benefit itself. For more information or to obtain an auction donation form, contact NBAA's Dina Green at dgreen@nbaa.org.

Lee will be on-hand as this year's tournament host. Since the Classic's founding in 1997, it has raised over $400,000 for various philanthropies. All proceeds from the 2009 Classic will benefit NBAA Charities, a non-profit entity supporting philanthropic organizations and initiatives that use general aviation airplanes for humanitarian purposes. This event provides an ideal setting for networking with your customers and industry colleagues, as well as many options to prominently display your company's branding.
