Contact: Cassandra Bosco
Washington, DC, March 15, 2001 - The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and The VanAllen Group are collaborating to offer an Emergency Response Planning Workshop on May 15 and 16 in Atlanta. This event is designed to help a wide range of companies – from large multi-aircraft flight departments to single-aircraft operations – manage the difficult circumstances surrounding an aircraft incident.
The Emergency Response Planning Workshop offers comprehensive information on emergency preparation and planning with respect to aircraft incidents. Other areas of focus include communicating publicly and internally about an incident and dealing with operational, financial, legal and regulatory aspects of an incident. This Workshop is recommended for all members of the corporate flight department, as well as for representatives from corporate Human Resources, Risk Management, Communication/Public Relations, Legal, Security and Finance departments.
- The Emergency Response Planning Workshop includes:
- A comprehensive Emergency Response Plan document
- A thorough exploration of the timeline and issues resulting from an aircraft incident, with special emphasis on controlling the elements within a company’s influence, including how to manage information flows and support the investigation
- A special session on public relations and dealing with the press
- An open dialogue with NTSB and FAA accident investigators
A planning session, including how to develop a personal plan, training, exercises and simulations.
The two-day Workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15 and from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16. The registration fee is $995 for the first Attendee and $795 for each additional individual from the same organization. Contact NBAA at (202) 783-9369 or firstname.lastname@example.org to enroll.
