Contact: Cassandra Bosco

Geneva, Switzerland, May 27, 2004 – Romano Prodi, president of the European Commission, today visited EBACE2004, the 4th Annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, at Geneva Palexpo. The only European exhibition to focus exclusively on business aviation, EBACE is organized jointly by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).

A Falcon 2000 business aircraft owned by Bizjet, based in Geneva, landed this morning at Geneva International Airport with President Prodi on board. Prodi toured the exhibition hall and boarded several aircraft in the Static Display, paying particular attention to European aircraft and products. EBAA Chairman Brian M. Humphries and NBAA Chairman and Interim President Donald E. Baldwin escorted Prodi during his tour.

The visit by the president of the European Commission, the administrative and executive body of the European Union, illustrates a strong European interest in business aviation and the importance of the sector for the European air transport industry. This year, 247 EBACE Exhibitors are occupying a record 728 3-meter by 3-meter booth spaces in Geneva Palexpo, an increase of almost 20 percent over last year's exhibit floor space total, and the Static Display on Geneva International Airport features 37 business aircraft. The total number of Attendees registered is expected to reach more than 6,500.

For more information and event photos, visit the official EBACE web site at www.ebace.aero.

NBAA represents the aviation interests of more than 7,600 companies that own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world's largest display of civil aviation products and services.
