Orlando, FL, October 28, 2012 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced today it will open the final day of its 65th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2012) to both college students and members of the local business aviation community to mark Florida Aviation Day on Nov. 1. The Convention will be held from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in Orlando, FL.
Members of Florida’s business aviation community, along with students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and other colleges throughout the state, are invited to visit the exhibits and static displays at the Orange County Convention Center and Orlando Executive Airport free of charge on Nov. 1. These visitors also are encouraged to attend the day's career-oriented programming, including a keynote address by Barrington Irving, the first African American and the youngest person to fly solo around the world.
Aviation Community Day participants also will have access to information about potential scholarships, internships, continuing education and careers in business aviation.
About 25,000 business aviation professionals are expected to attend NBAA2012, which represents a productive and efficient opportunity for the business aviation community to meet, network and learn while also viewing the latest product and service offerings, all in one convenient location. Key operators and industry leaders gather to conduct business, make buying decisions and plan for business aviation activity for 2013 and beyond.
NBAA2012 will feature indoor exhibits and an on-site, outdoor Static Display of Light Business Airplanes and Helicopters at the Orange County Convention Center, as well as a Static Display of Aircraft at nearby Orlando Executive Airport. In addition, there will be more than 100 education sessions and maintenance and operations sessions (M&Os).
College students and members of Florida's business aviation community with an interest in attending NBAA2012 on Nov. 1 are invited to register in advance.
