Orlando, FL, October 29, 2012 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting & Convention has risen back to fifth place in the ranking of largest U.S. trade shows based on square footage of exhibits following NBAA2011 last year in Las Vegas, NV, according to Trade Show Executive. The 2010 NBAA Convention in Atlanta, GA had been ranked eighth.
“As we prepare to kick off NBAA2012 tomorrow, this recognition by Trade Show Executive confirms that NBAA’s Annual Meeting & Convention is one of the largest marketplaces not just in our industry, but in any industry,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
“What’s most encouraging for our industry is that support among the business aviation community for this event has been sustained, even through the turbulent economic climate we’ve seen in recent years,” he said. “NBAA’s Convention is an annual opportunity for our industry to come together and showcase the diversity of business aviation, and its value to citizens, companies and communities across the U.S.”
Following the success of last year’s show, NBAA’s 65th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2012) opens tomorrow in Orlando, FL and will be held from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. The show will take place at the Orange County Convention Center and at Showalter Flying Service on Orlando Executive Airport (ORL).
NBAA2012 is projected to continue the success of last year’s show, drawing about 25,000 Attendees and 1,000 Exhibitors. A Static Display of Light Business Airplanes and Helicopters will be held just outside the convention center, and the larger NBAA Static Display of Aircraft will be held at ORL.
The show brings together not only flight department personnel, single-pilot owner/operators, manufacturers and professionals from every side of business aviation, but also government officials and industry leaders.
