NBAA Encourages Owner Participation in FAA Survey
Each year, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) surveys owners of general aviation aircraft in order to develop the General Aviation & Part
135 Activity Survey, which is used by the FAA for planning purposes, and by the industry for statistical data. The PA Consulting Group, an
independent research company, is assisting the FAA with this survey. NBAA strongly encourages all aircraft owners who have received the survey to

NBAA 13th Annual Flight Attendants Conference Most Well
Attended Yet
The NBAA 13th Annual Flight Attendants Conference (FAC) held on June 27 and 28 in Tucson, AZ was the most well attended FAC to date, with 276
Attendees on-site. The Conference focused on concerns facing business aviation professionals, such as safety awareness, security and cultural
diversity. NBAA's Steve Brown, vice president, operations, one of several presenters, highlighted the Association's efforts to help cabin crews face

Insider Feature 'Ask the OSG' Provides Tips on Quiet Flight
In the "Ask the OSG" feature of the current issue of Business Aviation Insider, NBAA's official Member publication, the Association's
Operations Service Group (OSG) provides information for operators of aircraft classified for Stage 2 noise standards. The article discusses several
options for Stage 2 operators to modify their aircraft to meet Stage 3 standards, as would be required by a provision included in the FAA
reauthorization bill now pending in Congress. The next edition of Insider will be mailed to Member subscribers at the end of this month.

MA Grassroots Efforts Pay Off
Massachusetts' grassroots organizations were instrumental in convincing the state's legislature and governor not to include the repeal of the current
aircraft parts and labor tax exemption in this year's budget. Led by the Massachusetts Airport Managers Association, several grassroots
organizations, including the Massachusetts Business Aviation Association and NBAA, participated in providing data and contacting legislators to

Next NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forum Coming to Bedford,
MA
The next NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forum will be held on September 10 on Hanscom Field (BED) in Bedford, MA. The event is a one-day learning
and networking experience designed to meet the needs of the regional business aviation community. It will feature approximately 30 aircraft on static

Sun Valley Airport STMP Program in Effect
for Arrivals This Week
A special traffic management program (STMP) has been implemented for Sun Valley Hailey/Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) on July 8 and 13 of this week.
Slots will be required for all domestic, non-scheduled instrument flight rules (IFR) arrivals between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. local time on both
days. Slots can be obtained via the FAA STMP web site. Operators must reconfirm the slots between 12 to 24 hours prior to departure. Complete details

On July 17, NBAA's Mike Nichols, vice president operations, education & economics, will give the keynote address at a Corporate Aircraft

NBAA's New Light Business Airplane Event Is Coming to San Diego in
March
NBAA's Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference (NBAA Light), taking place in San Diego, CA from March 1214, 2009, will be dedicated

Computer-Based Exam Makes Becoming a CAM Easier Than Ever
The next Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) Exam offered in a computer-based testing (CBT) format will be held in September at various locations
throughout the country. NBAA introduced computer-based testing for the CAM Exam last year to provide greater convenience and flexibility for Members
who would like to become CAMs. The next paper-based exam open to applications will be offered October 5, in conjunction with NBAA's 61st Annual
Meeting & Convention in Orlando, FL. The CAM credential is considered the highest recognition for business aviation professionals. Through
certification, individuals demonstrate their commitment to the safety, security and effective management of business aviation. The deadline to apply
for the CBT in September is July 17, and the deadline for the paper-based test in October is August 21. To learn more, visit:

NBAA On-Demand Education Offers Safety Resources From CASS
Proceedings presented at the 53rd Annual Corporate Aviation Safety Seminar (CASS), co-hosted by NBAA and Flight Safety Foundation in April, are now
available for purchase as streaming video or CD-ROM. The CASS was initiated in 1955 to provide a forum for discussion and review of safety matters
that are the focus of the business aviation community. Expert speakers include leaders of industry, operators and users, government officials and
