BUSINESS AVIATION NEWS & ISSUES
USA Today Prints NBAA Letter Defending Small Airports
When USA Today ran a third recent, one-sided story mischaracterizing small community airports on the newspaper's front page, NBAA quickly responded once again, with a letter to the paper's editors printed the same week the story ran. Community airports are fundamental to small communities and the national transportation system, NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said in the letter. "The kinds of projects your story calls into question often support airports in towns with little or no airline service," he noted. Read the letter by visiting:

FAA InFO Reiterates ICAO Air Operator Certificate Requirement
The FAA has issued a new Information for Operators (InFO) advisory, InFO 09019, to assist operators in complying with a requirement from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to carry a valid Air Operator Certificate (AOC) when flying internationally. The ICAO requirement, described in ICAO Annex 6, states that all operators must carry onboard their aircraft a standardized certified true copy of their AOC when flying internationally. Operators are advised to take action immediately, as the ICAO requirement takes effect January 1. For more information, review the InFO at:
