Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains, NY, is continuing its instrument landing system upgrade process.

The airport has completed work on the Runway 16 localizer (LOC) upgrade and officials are hoping to have it flight checked and back in service this week so that they can begin work on the upgrade to the Runway 34 LOC. Work begins Monday, July 28 and runs through Aug. 23.

If HPN is on a north configuration landing Runway 34 during this LOC outage, operators should expect the Sound Visual or the RNAV GPS Y approach. Operators may direct questions to NBAA Air Traffic Services at airtraffic@nbaa.org.
