Las Vegas, NV, Oct. 18, 2019 – Next week, Clark County will become the epicenter of the business aviation industry as civic and business leaders welcome the return of the world’s largest business aviation trade show to Henderson Executive Airport and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), to be held Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 22-24, will attract about 23,000 attendees, and is expected to generate a total economic impact of $40.5 million over the course of the week, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

As part of the show’s week-long focus on sustainability, Henderson Executive Airport will for the first time in its history make available Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Some 100 airplanes will take on the renewable fuel at the Clark County-owned and operated airport this week, including those on display at the show. SAF is a non-fossil power source that can reduce aviation’s carbon lifecycle emissions by up to 80 percent.

After planes refuel and depart at the show’s close on Thursday, Oct. 24, an estimated 150,000 gallons of SAF are expected to have been pumped at the airport in conjunction with NBAA’s convention. Clark County leaders strongly support efforts to reduce the emissions footprint for business aviation – an industry that generates millions in economic output and hundreds of jobs across Nevada. At the Oct. 21 press conference, Clark County officials will issue a proclamation recognizing the collaboration between Henderson Executive Airport and show organizers.
