MEDIA ADVISORY: At NBAA-BACE, Sustainable Aviation Fuels in Focus All Week

Las Vegas, NV, Oct. 18, 2019 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has planned a multi-day program of events at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) to highlight the industry’s long-standing commitment to sustainability, including the development and adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

Events included in this week-long series of initiatives are open to the press, and include the following:

Sunday, Oct. 20

All-day: NBAA-BACE SAF ‘Fly-In’ Henderson Executive Airport (HND).
A number of aircraft arriving at Henderson for the convention’s aircraft display will be fueled, in part or entirely, by SAF – the aircraft will be promoted with signage at HND.

Monday, Oct. 21

11:30 a.m.: Press Conference: Clark County Officials Welcome NBAA-BACE,
Recognize Its Sustainability Focus
. At a press conference held at the NBAA-BACE outdoor aircraft display, NBAA and the Clark County Commissioner’s office will hold a media event focused in part on the collaboration between local officials and the NBAA in bringing SAF to HND for the first time.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

7 a.m.: 2019 NBAA-BACE Media Kickoff Breakfast, Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), Room N261. At this event – jointly presented by NBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association – NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen will lead a news-making panel discussion, among the leaders for both associations, focused on SAF.

2:30 p.m.: Sustainability Session, Sponsored by NBAA’s Business Aviation

Panelists discuss SAF, hydrogen fuels and electric aircraft. Moderated by NBAA Business Aviation Insider Editor-in-Chief Bob Searles.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

2 p.m.: ‘I Want My SAF’ Session, Sponsored by NBAA TV, LVCC Exhibit Floor,
Innovation Zone, Booth N1818

Moderated by NBAA TV news anchor Raquel Rodriguez. Panelists:

    All airplanes refueling for departure from Henderson at the close of the aircraft display will be refueled with some amount of SAF.
