Washington, DC, Aug. 7, 2024 – The year’s most important developments driving business aviation’s push to net-zero carbon emissions will be in focus for the leaders gathered to put a spotlight on sustainability at the 2024 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), taking place Oct. 22-24 in Las Vegas.
In the time since last year’s convention was held, much has happened in the aviation sustainability arena. Washington policymakers have formed a bipartisan House Aviation Sustainability Caucus, regulators have begun formulating a next generation framework of requirements for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and a five-year FAA reauthorization bill has been passed with provisions related to aviation sustainability.
Over the same period, emission-free advanced air mobility (AAM) technologies have moved closer to certification, industry partnerships fostering growth in SAF production and availability have formed and grown, and a host of innovations are further powering business aviation’s net-zero mission, on the ground and in the air.
NBAA-BACE will bring together experts with guidance for navigating the dizzying pace of change in business aviation sustainability, culminating with a dedicated, two-day Sustainability Summit featuring authoritative sources from all points in the value chain.
“Sustainability is more than just a mere buzzword – it’s central to the future of flight, it is pivotal for the future of flight,” said Nancy Bsales, chief operating officer at 4AIR, who will be among the summit presenters. “NBAA-BACE will empower participants with insights into game-changing developments in sustainability, and how they tie together for operators and other stakeholders.”
“NBAA-BACE will highlight the exciting changes that are moving the industry forward on sustainability at every level,” added Scott Cutshall, CAM, president, real estate and sustainability at Clay Lacy Aviation, who will also present at the NBAA-BACE Sustainability Summit. “We’re going to come together to learn how our individual contributions toward a net-zero future can have an enormous, collective impact.”
The business aviation community’s leadership on sustainability will be in focus in a variety of ways throughout the convention week. Organizers will offer an Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge, aimed at making 2024 NBAA-BACE one of the most sustainable trade shows. The convention week also will offer a special opportunity to mark the one-year anniversary of the industry’s CLIMBING. FAST. initiative, which has underscored business aviation’s sustainability leadership with policymakers and opinion leaders in groundbreaking new ways.
NBAA-BACE, taking place Oct.22-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport (HND), is the world’s most powerful business aviation event of the year. Learn more about NBAA-BACE.
