Washington, DC, Sept. 4, 2024 – A host of issue experts and big-picture thinkers will lead more than 50 education sessions focused on safety, leadership, workforce development, operational excellence and more, as part of next month’s 2024 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), Oct. 22-24, in Las Vegas, NV.

“Like flying, a business aviation professional’s career is often as much about the journey as the destination,” said Molly Hitch, NBAA senior manager, professional development. “You plan, work to it and use the best information available to inform and measure your progress. At NBAA-BACE, we will gather recognized leaders in our community to deliver peer-to-peer sessions that will educate attendees with real-world takeaways that will help participants ascend in their business aviation careers.”

By way of illustration, Hitch pointed to NBAA-BACE sessions on the future of in-flight connectivity, charting career pathways, demystifying sustainable aviation fuel, advanced air mobility, artificial intelligence in business aviation, a survey-based discussion on fostering workplace culture, an interactive session on the digital transformation of maintenance tracking, personal safety while traveling, hot topics in business aviation law, inflight food trends and other topics NBAA members have requested for the convention education session lineup.

“You asked and we’re delivering,” Hitch said.

Safety-specific seminars also are part of NBAA-BACE, both before and during the show, with content reflecting the significant developments in just the past year that are shaping the aviation-safety landscape, including the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) evolving posture on pilot mental health, the agency’s rollout of a new Safety Management System (SMS) mandate and a new, multi-year FAA authorization containing a number of safety related provisions in the bill’s 1,600 pages.
