Las Vegas, NV, Oct. 15, 2025 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has launched a new web resource developed with the goal of supporting long-term, industrywide accident reduction through the synthesis of key data for study and decision-making.
The association’s new NBAA Business Aviation Accident and Incident Analysis resource, exclusively for NBAA members, was introduced on the second day of NBAA’s annual Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), the world’s most powerful annual industry event, which puts safety at center stage with focused sessions, leading safety authorities and recognition of excellence and professionalism in safety.
“Safety is a core value of NBAA and the business aviation community,” said NBAA Senior Vice President of Safety, Security, Sustainability and International Affairs Doug Carr. “The new NBAA Business Aviation Accident and Incident Analysis online tool adds to other valuable programs and resources for identifying, analyzing and mitigating risk to ensure we are helping to improve safety for business aviation. NBAA is excited to bring this new capability to members who have told us they are looking for benchmarks to compare their own safety performance.”
The NBAA Business Aviation Accident and Incident Analysis resource allows industry professionals to review detailed information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for accidents and incidents involving turbine business aircraft.
While the current database focuses on turboprops, turbojets and turbine-powered helicopters, it will be expanded to piston-powered business aircraft in the future.
Members can select time periods and aircraft types to focus on information relevant to their specific operations. By interacting with data tables and charts, members can access detailed reports for specific events. The interactive resource also allows users to view by operation type, phase of flight and more. It also provides historical trends analysis for the past 10 years.
The resource also will include quarterly reports, the first of which was released for the third quarter of 2025. Future quarterly reports will add additional insights as new quarterly data is analyzed.
