Washington, DC, Nov. 7, 2025 – National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen today recommended that business aviation operators continue avoiding the nation’s busiest commercial service airports and proactively plan to meet their critical transportation needs in the midst of government-driven traffic reductions being put in place by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
“Flexibility is a hallmark of business aviation,” Bolen said. “That’s why we are urging business aviation operators to avoid the busiest commercial service airports.
“We know that departure and arrival times can be adjusted, alternate airports can be considered, flight crews can utilize airline travel, and other backup plans can be put in place to ensure missions are accomplished in a variety of ways that reduce tension on the system.
“While business aviation is fully included in the FAA’s traffic reductions, we know that our sector will continue to pursue mandatory and voluntary means to ensure we are part of the solution to the challenges posed in the current environment.”
