Head of U.S. Strategy, Bombardier
Tonya Sudduth was appointed Head of U.S. Strategy for Bombardier in April 2022. Based in Wichita – the new Bombardier U.S. headquarters – Tonya leads Bombardier’s U.S. strategy, leveraging her extensive knowledge and rich aerospace experience in building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the community, government and industry to now further strengthen and grow Bombardier’s presence across America.
Recognized as a business aviation champion in Kansas, Tonya has led Bombardier’s dynamic Wichita site since 2015. As Vice President of Operations, for Learjet aircraft production, she had overall responsibility for engineering, manufacturing and aircraft assembly, as well as for Global 5000 interior completions.
Tonya was also recognized for overseeing the diversite site, home to a growing service center, the Bombardier Flight Test Center and, more recently, the newly renamed Bombardier Defense unit.
Educated in Wichita, Tonya holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Wichita State University. She began her career in 1994 at Koch Industries in Wichita before joining Bombardier Learjet in 2001 where she held increasingly senior positions in finance and accounting, prior to transitioning into an operations role.
Tonya proudly serves on multiple boards and advisory committees. She is currently serving on the boards for GAMA, NAM and United Way of the Plains. She is also a member of the Wichita Regional Chamber and the Greater Wichita Partnership Board of Advisors.
