In testimony before the Aviation Subcommittee to the U.S. House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said that while thousands of general aviation (GA) businesses continue to experience disruptions due to the pandemic, the industry is resilient.

Bolen also discussed key policy priorities for GA, including a focus on incentives to increase the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and the need for future infrastructure investments to support advanced air mobility.

While business aviation declined a staggering 75% during the pandemic’s depths, Bolen explained that the industry continued its commitment to humanitarian missions, including transporting PPE and COVID-19 test specimens.
