State of the Union Comments Disappoint Association, Industry

NBAA is disappointed that President Obama’s remarks, which were largely focused on the tools needed to recover from a deep economic crisis, completely overlooked the millions of jobs involved in business aviation manufacture and support, along with the lifeline business aviation provides 100 communities that have lost airline service, and the tremendous advantage general aviation airplanes provide to businesses that are struggling to survive and preserve their employee base in this unforgiving economic climate. The president’s broad, generic reference to “private jet” as perk rather than business tool was off the mark.

NBAA’s No Plane No Gain initiative, which NBAA and GAMA launched last week, is aggressively promoting the value of business aviation to citizens, companies and communities across the country.
