David Belastock, president of the Teterboro Users Group in New Jersey, has contacted congressional legislators, urging them to oppose H.R. 2997, because it seeks to privatize the air traffic control system and reduce his access to airport and airspace.
“I urge you to stand up for general aviation, local communities and businesses throughout this country and say no to H.R.2997 and yes to fair and equal access for all stakeholders,” wrote Belastock, who also encouraged his group’s members to contact their elected officials about this privatization attempt Teterboro Airport (TEB) is one of the nation’s premier business aviation airports, with its strategic New York – area location.
TEB is also an important “reliever” airport to the region’s three congested commercial airports and contributes nearly $1.15 billion to the local economy.
