NBAA Senior Graphic Designer Collin King

April 14, 2025

NBAA Senior Graphic Designer Collin King has been named to the board of the Greater Washington Business Aviation Association (GWBAA).

“The Greater Washington Business Aviation Association has benefitted from Collin’s talents for years,” said GWBAA President Caleb Stitely. “Collin’s leadership skills, service mindset and ability to connect with the next generation of aviation professionals made him a perfect fit for our board’s vision and mission. We’re excited to have him onboard, helping lead the business aviation community in the Washington, DC, area.”

King, 42, joined NBAA in 2018. “After meeting a few folks in business aviation, I was really sold,” he said. “It kind of reminded me of my roots – my father served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, and some of my years growing up were spent on an Air Force base. I enjoyed being around fighter jets and meeting people from many walks of life. I said, ‘A career in business aviation would be really cool, like coming full circle for me.’”

King is no stranger to GWBAA, having spearheaded graphic design and social media projects for the organization in recent years. His unique skill set caught the attention of GWBAA board member Paige Kroner and others, who asked King to be part of the organization’s leadership team. He attended his first board meeting as a director on March 19.

“It’s going great so far,” King said. “Everybody’s been very welcoming. A lot of these individuals I’ve known for quite some time, so it’s almost like an extended family.”

King, who is currently helping plan GWBAA’s open house in late April, says he takes inspiration from the focus by GWBAA and the larger business aviation community on ensuring all voices, from all corners of the industry, are represented.

“My goal is to grow the business aviation community in the Greater Washington area, specifically with young people and with people who have diverse backgrounds,” he said. “I think there are a lot of young folks in this industry who don’t really know about business aviation.”
