Separately, NBAA earned a special recognition from state officials for the Association’s work in Nevada. On Feb. 18 Nevada issued an official statement recognizing NBAA’s help in improving and expanding economic development opportunities for aviation and aerospace companies in the state. Signed by Lt. Gov. Mark A. Hutchinson, the statement recognized the Association’s efforts in supporting Nevada Senate Bill 93, a piece of legislation that would provide tax incentives for the expansion of aviation and aerospace companies in the state. In addition to rallying support from aviation stakeholders, NBAA has helped sponsor regional events, such as the Industry Leadership Luncheon in Reno and a legislative reception held in Carson City.

“We are gratified by the proactive leadership of Gov. Sandoval and Lt. Gov. Hutchison in bringing more aviation jobs and industry to Nevada,” said NBAA Western Regional Representative Stacy Howard, “NBAA will continue to work with the state’s Office of Economic Development to identify fresh ways to expand and diversify Nevada opportunities in business aviation.”
