A major construction project for the redevelopment of New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is underway. The project will include a new central terminal building, improved ground transportation access, as well as additional taxiways.

During this project, both landside and airside constraints can be expected due to construction closures. View details of the project.

Numerous taxiway closures can be expected over the next several months with the more significant impacts on the east side of the airport. Air traffic delays are possible due to the additional aircraft movement area constraints associated with the taxiway closures.

Operators can access graphic depictions of the taxiway and runway construction constraints via the FAA National Flight Data Center Airport Construction Notices webpage.

It is also recommended that flight operators monitor NOTAMs for real time closures and constraints.
