From April 1-6, Van Nuys Airport’s Runway 16R/34L will be closed nightly for construction between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Runway 16R/34L will be shortened starting Saturday, April 6 at 6 a.m. The runway shortening is scheduled for approximately 73 days with a planned reopening of a full length runway on June 15. During the Runway 16R/34L shortening the declared distances available will be the following:

LDA: 5162’
Runway 16R
TORA/TODA/ASDA: 5563’
LDA: 5080’
Flight operators should monitor NOTAMs for any possible changes.
