Due to the 2016 Nuclear Industry Summit, a temporary flight restriction (TFR) is in place around the Washington, DC area from March 31 until April 1. The NOTAM number is 6/6697
An area defined by the boundaries of the DC FRZ (flight restricted zone) will prohibit general aviation operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Executive Airport/Hyde Field (W32), Potomac Airfield (VKX) and College Park Airport (CGS) from 7 a.m. EDT (1100) on March 31 until 8 p.m. EDT local (0000z/02) on April 1. Participants in the DASSP will still have access to DCA.
General aviation arrivals and departures, on VFR and IFR flight plans and in two-way radio communication with ATC, will be able to access the DC special flight rules area. No transition flights or loitering will be permitted during the TFR.
Ingress/egress procedures normally in place for JYO, MD47, MD77, MD43, MD14 and 51VA will be maintained during this TFR. All flight waivers to operate within the SFRA/FRZ will be temporarily suspended during the time of this NOTAM, except waivers beginning with ELO, GOV, SPO, LEA or LFG with prior permission from the ASOC.
Small unmanned aircraft systems operations within the SFRA under NOTAM 6/2069 are suspended during the times of this NOTAM.
