Runway 12/30 at Montana’s Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) will be closed daily between 12:30 and 11 p.m. local time (1830z-0500z) from April 30 to May 19, due to a rehabilitation and resurfacing project.
Runway 12/30 is the primary runway at the airport, and is the only runway with published instrument approach procedures. Runways 11/29 (5050’ x 75’) and 3/21 (2650’ x 75’) will remain available for most of the project. When Runway 3/21 is also closed, access to Runway 11/29 will be limited to a single taxiway.
The primary operational impact will be the runway length and lack of instrument approach procedures for the available runways during the daily closures of Runway 12/30.
