NBAA has released this year’s “Domestic Operations Committee (DOC) Survey” to better understand the needs of the Part 135 community and focus the association’s upcoming investments in this vital sector of business aviation.

Previous versions of this survey have led to the creation of helpful resources such as the Best Practices for Air Charter Brokering Guide, the Part 135.299 Check Pilot Registry and the Airport Runway Obstacle Analysis and FAA Info 23009 Compliance Guide, noted DOC Part 135 Subcommittee Co-Chair Melanie Hight.

“Our 2023 survey was a great success,” she said. “Thanks to the deep pool of responses, we gained an unparalleled insight into the needs of Part 135 operators that allowed us to create a comprehensive inventory of resources tailored for the Part 135 community.”

The new survey aims to build on these successes, explained Subcommittee Co-Chair Ben van Niekerk.

“The Part 135 sector is vibrant and fast-moving, and much has changed since we conducted our first survey,” he said. “NBAA’s mission is to help business aviation operators succeed, and now is the perfect time to gauge the pulse of this critical sector again to see if its needs have changed and, importantly, if NBAA is delivering the right tools and resources to the Part 135 community.”

The confidential survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are aggregated to ensure anonymity.
