The CleanFlying Coalition, a not-for-profit group organized by FlightAware and joined by companies across the business aviation industry, is committed to promoting and implementing best practices related to health in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“FlightAware was born out of a passion for business aviation, and this is a small way that we can give back to the industry that we love,” said Matt Davis, vice president of sales for FlightAware, which is a co-founder of the group.  “The fundamental suppressor of flying within our industry right now is the perception that flying may not be clean or safe.”

The Coalition’s founding members include FBOs, a rental car company, crewmember training providers and more. Including all facets of business aviation in the organization is critical, Davis explained, because these companies are interlocked with the other.

“It is this interdependence that drives a need for clear and unified messaging to business aviation passengers from the stakeholders about what they are doing to ensure the safest and cleanest flying experience possible,” Davis said.

As founding members of the Coalition, TAC Air and Keystone Aviation are able to reinforce the industry’s commitment to the safety and well-being of pilots, crewmembers and passengers.

“The safety and health of our associates and customers is paramount,” said TAC Air Chief Operating Officer Joe Gibney. “The adjustments that are being made enhance the experience and give travelers  knowledge of our clean and healthy environments.”
