Managing Risks in Diverse Fleet

Today’s business aviation users benefit from various aircraft types and models that offer different features such as range, capacity, avionics and other systems. Operations using multiple aircraft types are successfully accomplished globally daily. Operators must acknowledge utilizing multiple aircraft types may elevate risk, challenge pilot proficiency and demand heightened attention to procedural compliance.

This resource, developed by the Human Factors Working Group of the NBAA Safety Committee, outlines the common human factors issues faced by operators with multiple aircraft types, including loss of procedural compliance (LOPC), and provides guidance for reducing risks associated with these operations.
