St. Louis – Major League Baseball All-Star Game Activities

TSA plans to conduct security exercises in three modes of transportation, including Mass Transit, Commercial Aviation, and General Aviation to enhance security during the activities surrounding the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star game in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mass Transit

From July 10-14, 2009, TSA will partner with St. Louis METROLINK and local law enforcement to increase security presence throughout the METROLINK rail system and patrol stations, platforms, and trains during this time period.

Commercial Aviation

On July 14, 2009, TSA and local law enforcement will increase patrols, surveillance, K-9 presence, and Identification/badge verification on the commercial portion of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

General Aviation

On July 14, 2009 (between 1600-2400) TSA and FAA will provide visible security presence at several GA airports in the St. Louis Area. These operations will focus on stakeholder outreach/awareness to ensure departing GA airman are aware of the Notices to Airman (NOTAMs) and the Temporary Flight Restriction in place for the All-Star; as well as a check of outbound airmen certificates and identification. This security presence may occur at the following St. Louis area GA airports: St. Louis Regional (ALN), St. Louis Downtown City (CPS), Mid-America (BLV), St. Charles County (SET), St. Charles Municipal (3SQ), Creve Coeur (1HO), and Spirit of St. Louis (SUS).
