NBAA’s Local and Regional Group Committee and the Massachusetts’s Airport Management Association will host the 2016 Local and Regional Group Leadership Roundtable on May 18 in Boston, MA. The committee is celebrating our first full year and is looking forward to making this the most productive roundtable yet.
The event offers regional group leaders the opportunity to share best practices with their peers and provide valuable tools, resources and takeaways that attendees can bring back to their respective groups.
Prior to the roundtable, attendees are invited to also attend a great legislative event hosted by the Massachusetts Airport Management Association. Those local and regional group leaders that can join us will meet at the historic Massachusetts State House, May 17 from 1 to 4 p.m.. Aviation officials from around the Commonwealth will meet with their elected leaders to discuss how aviation works, discuss the value of aviation and how aviation plays a role in the state day to day.
This year’s evening event, prior to the Roundtable, will be held cruising on Boston Harbor. Cocktails and dinner will be provided on the Spirit of Boston, boarding at 6 p.m. and cruising from 7 to 9 p.m..
The Official Roundtable event will be held the next day at the Residence Inn Boston Logan Airport/Chelsea on the May 18 including leadership discussions on many topics including:
- An introduction of NBAA’s Strategic Focus Teams to the L/R Group Leadership including several SFT committee members who will be in attendance to outline some collaboration strategies from a regional perspective.
- Discussion of FAA Reauthorization advocacy and call to action strategies.
- Afternoon breakout sessions will be held for a more in depth discussion of groups’ different areas of focus.
Throughout the Roundtable, regional group stakeholders will be offering discussions on tax structures, legislative strategies, industry internships, scholarships and other topics to be identified by regional group leaders.
