NBAA’s annual Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) has always served as a premier venue to highlight the industry’s size, diversity and significance, and an ideal location to share stories of the industry’s critical role in the nation’s economy and transportation system.

These stories are also told through the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign, a joint effort of NBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). The convention always serves as a prominent platform for the campaign’s message and ongoing activities, and a venue where new initiatives are highlighted each year.

The 2017 gathering in Las Vegas, NV from Oct 10-12 will be no exception, with the expansion of the popular “Business Leaders on Business Aviation” series, featuring real-world testimonials from businesspeople, explaining how the use of an aircraft can help not just companies, but also citizens and communities.

To date, some of the business leaders featured in the series have included CEOs from prominent companies including FedEx, Bass Pro Shops, Scott’s Miracle-Gro and dozens of others of all sizes. Their testimonials have been collected in a dedicated booklet, which serves as an advocacy resource. This year, signage at the convention will introduce several additional individuals as part of this initiative.

NBAA’s annual convention presents the opportunity to unveil other No Plane No Gain advocacy tools those in the industry can utilize to underscore business aviation’s value; in recent years, the introduction of numerous studies, surveys and other tools have been a part of the show.

This year, a new study by NEXA Advisors – published just ahead of the convention – will be in focus. The new NEXA study updates numerous previous reports by the same researchers, which have repeatedly shown that, by a host of measures, the use of business aviation is the sign of a well-managed enterprise among America’s most highly valued and well-respected companies. Learn more about the NEXA studies.

NEXA Advisors Managing Partner Michael Dyment is scheduled to host a dedicated education session at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, to provide tips and tools for flight departments to make the best use of this latest report to detail the value of aircraft utilization in supporting a company’s overall business objectives.

NBAA-BACE will also include a full roster of resources that industry stakeholders may use to spread campaign messages on social media, including new infographics highlighting the findings of the latest NEXA study.
