NBAA Wraps a Dynamic, High-Energy Convention in Orlando

NBAA today brought to a close its 2018 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). It was an event characterized by energy, excitement and a focus on the future. “It certainly seemed that NBAA-BACE exceeded even the highest expectations,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “Exhibitors told us their booths were packed, and attendees continually remarked on the latest technologies and services displayed on the show floor, the quality of our sessions and the networking opportunities available.” The event drew about 1,000 exhibitors from the U.S. and around the world. Attendees at the show represented all 50 U.S. states and about 90 countries. More than 100 exhibitors were new to the show. View a video wrap-up of the show and read more about

Aerobatic Pilot Anthony Oshinuga Inspires Students at Record-Setting NBAA Careers in Business Aviation Day

Aerobatic and air race pilot Anthony Oshinuga shared his inspiring story with a record-setting crowd of students during NBAA’s Careers in Business Aviation Day, held on the third day of NBAA-BACE. More than 1,100 students from around the world – the largest attendance in the history of the event – registered for this year’s program, which shines a spotlight on the diverse and plentiful career opportunities within business aviation. “You can absolutely do what we do, it just takes training, motivation and dedication,” said Oshinuga. National Safety Forum Examines the Human Factors Behind Aviation Accidents

At NBAA’s fourth annual National Safety Forum, held today at NBAA-BACE, topics included a “back-to-basics” look at complacency and common operational errors; an examination of human factors issues from a physiological and psychological standpoint; and a comprehensive look at how leadership and professionalism can have a profound impact on safety. “If you have professionalism, then you have safety,” said NBAA Chair Gen. Lloyd “Fig” Newton. “We have to feel it in our soul and live it every day.” Learn more about the forum.
