MEDIA ADVISORY: NBAA-BACE to Showcase Investment in Innovation & Future Technology

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) will highlight the industry’s accelerated investment in innovative technologies at this year’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, Oct. 16-18.
Keynotes
The Day 1 and Day 2 Keynotes will highlight groundbreaking technology, including vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicles, and solar-powered aircraft.
Day 1 Keynote: “Pilotless Aircraft for Urban Mobility”
Who: Eric Allison, Head of Aviation Programs, Uber
What: Allison is spearheading Uber’s vision to reimagine urban airborne transportation using VTOL aircraft.
When: Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 8:30 a.m., Exhibit Floor, Hall B
Day 2 Keynote: “Solar Power, Electric Aircraft and Aviation’s Sustainable Future”
Who: Bertrand Piccard, Project Chair, Solar Impulse
What: Best-known for circumnavigating the globe without a drop of fuel, Dr. Piccard continues to advocate for solar power, seeking advances in efficient airframes and propulsion systems.
When: Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 a.m., Exhibit Floor, Hall B
Innovation Zone & Educational Sessions
The convention will feature several topics focused on innovation, including blockchain, unmanned aircraft systems, data link technologies and electric aircraft.
