2019 NBAA-BACE Education Sessions Focus on Innovation
July 30, 2019
With more than 60 educational opportunities available before, during and after the 2019 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), there’s something for everyone, no matter the number of years they’ve been in the industry or their area of interest.
“We have an incredible education session agenda planned this year,” said Tyler Austin, NBAA senior manager, certification. “NBAA-BACE attendees will have the ability to learn and engage in some very important issues facing business aviation right now, hear from nearly a dozen exhibiting companies releasing new products and see how those future developments will affect the industry.”
The NBAA-BACE Innovation Zone will be busy, with many of the sessions in that area focused on future technologies, including how remote-piloted unmanned aircraft will co-exist with the current business aviation fleet.
“With a number of other forward-thinking sessions, presenters will share current development efforts, identify technical challenges and speculate on a timeline for viability in the marketplace,” Austin added. “Technologies such as electric propulsion and artificial intelligence are converging, and these sessions will provide valuable information to help the industry determine the effect of the technologies on operations and the next generation of business aircraft.”
Discussions on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) also will take place at NBAA-BACE. An education session has been designed to “set the record straight,” on the fuels’ value, while discussing benefits and potential drawbacks, as well as break down technical elements of SAF and its approved process for daily operations.
Additionally, issues surrounding future aviation workforce development will be in focus.
The main education sessions will be presented on Tuesday, Oct. 22, and Wednesday, Oct. 23; however, there will be additional Professional Development Program (PDP) courses, pre/post-convention seminars, M&O sessions and networking opportunities scheduled the entire week of Oct. 20-26.
An anticipated 23,000 business aviation professionals will be in Las Vegas, NV, Oct. 22-24 for NBAA-BACE, which takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport.
