Introduction to Leadership

An overview of leadership styles and tools, Introduction to Leadership reviews some of the tools necessary for effective leadership. Even experienced leaders will gain insight as it provides the basis for leadership success and is integrated into the rest of the course.

My HardWired™

This unique and proprietary leadership styles profile provides a view of a leader’s strengths, preferred method of communication, and what can cause stress and how they can prevent that stress from causing negative conflict. The profile will be used throughout the course.

Your Personal Leadership Philosophy

One of the course’s most popular offerings, Your Personal Leadership Philosophy helps leaders define what they believe and what’s important to them. By the end of the course participants will have a written document describing their philosophy as a leader.

Motivation and Employee Engagement

Motivation and engagement have become hot topics in leadership discussions. This course examines what motivation really is and why leaders cannot motivate their teams but can provide a motivational climate. The course reviews common theorists, such as Maslow, Herzberg and Pink, then provides a model that clarifies how leaders can create a motivational environment for their teams.

Team Building

Everyone wants high performing teams, but reaching that level requires team leaders who understand the dynamics of building teams. This course examines the stages of team development and a team leader’s responsibilities.

Diversity Awareness

Today’s teams are more diverse than ever before and leaders must demand inclusion and fair treatment. This course provides leaders with ideas that will help them make their diverse teams more inclusive and therefore, more effective.

Ethics in the Workplace

Ethics is a subject often discussed, yet seldom really understood. Companies expect their leaders to conduct themselves in an ethical manner, but what does that mean? This course looks at what ethics are and how supervisors and managers can lead in an ethical manner.

Accountability

Good leaders understand that they are accountable for their team’s actions as well as their own. This course examines what that means and how leaders accept responsibility for themselves while also holding their teams accountable.
