  • Facilitate an understanding of ICAO and the IBAC interface
  • Understand the purpose of the IS-BAO™
  • Become familiar with the structure of the IS-BAO™
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Module 2 – Safety Management System

  • Become familiar with the ICAO SMS requirements, including definition and structure
  • Understand the evolution to the “organizational accident” and the need for SMS in an organization
  • Understand error management and safety culture
  • Become familiar with IS-BAO™ Chapter 3 (SMS) requirements
12:30-1:30 p.m. Lunch
1:30-3:30 p.m. Module 3 – Standards and Recommended Practices Chapters

  • Become familiar with the terms policy, process and procedure and the difference between them
  • Understand how to develop policy, process, or procedure as required by the ISBAO™ standard
  • Become familiar with the IS-BAO™ across the organization and scope of operations
3:30-5 p.m Module 4 – Implementation and Registration Audit Considerations

  • Facilitate understanding of implementing the IS-BAO™
  • Facilitate understanding of the IS-BAO™ audit process

Any person who attends an NBAA convention, conference, seminar or other program grants permission to NBAA, its employees and agents (collectively "NBAA") to record his or her visual/audio images, including, but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of NBAA, including advertisements for NBAA and its programs.
