Ensuring Privacy Post ADS-B Implementation

Ensuring privacy is essential for many business aircraft owners as travel patterns may convey competitive intelligence. NBAA has been a strong advocate for privacy which should not be surrendered just by boarding and airplane. The FAA responded and developed a plan to allow a real-time flight-tracking opt-out for operators that have equipped their aircraft with Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) equipment. Learn about the Privacy ICAO Address (PIA) and the Limiting Aircraft Data Displayed (LADD) programs, and how to take advantage of them, which were developed by FAA in part to address privacy and security concerns NBAA raised with the availability of ADS-B Out data.

This session will explore the primary financing options available and identify the key issues owners should evaluate when considering financing their next aircraft purchase.
