NBAA’s Young Professionals in Business Aviation (YoPro) group will host a series of events during NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, NV, which are designed to provide networking and educational opportunities to group members.

“We are really excited for NBAA-BACE this year,” said Sierra Grimes, NBAA senior manager, government affairs. “It’s going to be a truly transformative week, as we come together to safely unite with each other, and we look forward to the energy that the next generation will bring after last year’s virtual show.”

Kicking off the convention, the group will host its annual networking reception on opening day, Tuesday, from 5:30-7 p.m. on Oct. 12 on the terrace of the West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The reception also will include a “Helpy Hour” where attendees can assemble Clean Hygiene Bags that will be distributed to those in need in the Las Vegas area.

“We always mix our networking event with what we call our “Helpy Hour,” because we believe that not only are we coming to do business and grow professionally, but we also want to leave an impact on the local community,” said Grimes.

On Wednesday, Oct. 13. NBAA will honor the 2020 and 2021 Business Aviation Top 40 Under 40 award winners during the Day 2 Keynote.

“Last year we had a virtual ceremony, so this year the 2020 and 2021 classes will be recognized in person at NBAA-BACE,” said Grimes. “YoPros across the industry are making great impacts and leading business aviation into a bright future, and we are privileged to highlight the best of the best annually through our award program.”

On Thursday, Oct. 14, YoPro members are invited to participate in NBAA’s Collegiate Connect Day, where university students considering careers in business aviation attend education sessions and can visit exhibits and view a wide range of aircraft on display. YoPro Council members will be on hand to discuss career opportunities in business aviation with college students.

Prior to NBAA-BACE, YoPro also will host a Virtual Happy Hour at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Participants can join current and prospective YoPro members in conversations, and networking opportunities within the business aviation industry. Register for the Happy Hour event.

Founded in 2014, NBAA’S YoPro PROGRAM is dedicated to building relationships between emerging leaders who are working at NBAA member companies across the business aviation industry. Learn more about NBAA’s YoPro program.
