Updated Sept. 16, 2021

NBAA’s highest priority is the health and safety of all event participants, who are our partners. This resource details the requirements for all NBAA-BACE participants and the steps taken by NBAA, the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and Henderson Executive Airport to ensure a safe, interactive and successful event for all attendees and exhibitors.

Consistent with its core value of safety, NBAA has adopted a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for 2021 NBAA-BACE. All registrants, including exhibit personnel, must present proof of full vaccination to enter the NBAA-BACE venues. This requirement applies to all activities on show days, Oct. 12-14, and to select pre- and post-show events, including press conferences, the 2021 Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference and NBAA PDP Courses. Learn more about the NBAA-BACE vaccine requirement.

By adopting this requirement, NBAA-BACE attendees and exhibitors will have the personal choice with regard to mask wearing and will not be subject to Nevada’s strict mask mandate.

Vaccinations

All NBAA-BACE attendees must present proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to enter NBAA-BACE venues. Learn more about the NBAA-BACE vaccine requirement.

The state of Nevada has mandated that conventions either:

  • require COVID-19 vaccinations for all attendees and exhibitors, with mask wearing as a personal choice or
  • require all attendees and exhibitors to wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status

NBAA adopted the requirement for COVID-19 vaccinations, after consulting with many in the aviation community, health and safety experts, state and local officials, and organizers of other large trade shows.

This option is less disruptive and more effective for ensuring a safe and fully interactive show. A vaccine requirement has also quickly become a best safety practice for trade shows and other live events, including Las Vegas Raiders games, CES (formerly known as Consumer Electronics Show) and the National Association of Broadcasters’ annual show.

There are two ways that proof of COVID-19 vaccination can be provided:

  1. Using Health Pass by CLEAR at 2021 NBAA-BACE
For the most efficient entry possible, NBAA-BACE participants may use the free CLEAR mobile app to provide a secure, digital proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Learn more about Health Pass by CLEAR.

  2. Presenting your vaccination card to CrowdRX on-site
NBAA-BACE participants who are unable to use, or do not wish to use, Health Pass by CLEAR may present their COVID-19 vaccination record card. A government-issued photo ID will also be required. Use the CrowdRx line outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall or at Henderson Executive Airport for this vaccine verification option.

Safety Measures

Face Coverings

By adopting a COVID-19 vaccine requirement, mask wearing will be a personal choice for NBAA-BACE attendees and exhibitors at the LVCC and Henderson Executive Airport. This will make the show more interactive and successful. Persons who wish to wear masks are encouraged to do so.

Outside of NBAA-BACE areas on show days, masks will still be required in the following situations due to Nevada mask mandates:

  • Shuttle bus travel, which is considered public transportation
  • Exhibit move-in on Oct. 5-11 and move-out on Oct. 15-17
  • Before Oct. 12 and after Oct. 14 upon entry to the Las Vegas Convention Center
Vaccine verification for pre- and post-show events, such as the 2021 Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference and NBAA PDP Courses, will take place on the first floor. Once cleared, attendees may access the second floor where masks will be optional.

Hand Sanitizer Stations

Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the LVCC including meeting room corridors, exhibit areas and food and beverage areas.

Venue Safety

2021 NBAA-BACE indoor exhibits will be held at the LVCC’s brand new, state-of-the-art West Hall. The LVCC was awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR facility accreditation by ISSA, the world’s leading trade association for the cleaning industry. Considered the gold standard for safe facilities, the GBAC program was designed to control the risks associated with infectious agents, including the virus responsible for COVID-19.

The LVCC has outlined detailed safety protocols that will be in place during all events at the venue, including NBAA-BACE, and are continuing to make changes to be compliant with the highest standards of safety, hygiene, cleanliness and quality.

  • Use of electrostatic sprayers containing approved disinfectant on high-touch surfaces such as door handles, escalator handrails and seating areas
  • Sanitize restrooms on an hourly basis
  • Increased frequency of waste removal and strengthen waste separation
  • Increase frequency of back-of-house cleaning
  • Sanitizing all AV equipment between uses
