NBAA’s highest priority is the health and safety of all event participants. This resource details the current requirements for all participants at the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum and the steps taken by NBAA to ensure a safe, interactive and successful event for all attendees and exhibitors. Additional details will be provided in advance of the event.

Entry Requirements

All Regional Forum participants will be required to present proof of one of the following upon each entry to the venue:

  • Full vaccination against COVID-19; or
  • A negative result from a COVID-19 lab test conducted within the prior 48 hours.

2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum Vaccination Deadline

To be fully vaccinated for the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum, you must receive the final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by Jan. 19, 2022.

* The deadline for exhibit personnel working during exhibit move-in will be earlier.

NBAA is working with CLEAR to allow participants to securely provide proof of full vaccination or a negative test. More information on using Health Pass by CLEAR will be available in advance of the event.

On-Site Testing

NBAA will offer on-site testing for individuals who do not present proof of full vaccination or a negative test result.

Attendees utilizing this service will be responsible for the cost of the test.

Please be aware that participants will not be permitted access to the 2022 NBAA Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum venue while awaiting the test results.

Proof of Full Vaccination

People are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer/COMIRNATY or Moderna vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

In addition to Pfizer/COMIRNATY, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, accepted vaccines include those authorized for use by the World Health Organization, including vaccines produced by AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covishield, Sinopharm and Sinovac.

Mixed COVID-19 vaccine schedules of vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization are permitted to establish full vaccination status.

Proof of Negative Lab Test Result

Participants choosing this option will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 result from a lab test. Results will be valid for entry for 48 hours from the time the test was conducted.

Additional details on providing proof of a negative lab test result will be available in advance of the event.

Face Coverings

Orders of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention require individuals to wear a mask while in indoor areas on the premises of transportation hubs. Therefore, participants at the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum must wear a mask while inside the airport hangar, registration tent and executive washrooms. Masks are not required on the aircraft display or inside the aircraft.

Masks must completely cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly and be secured to the head. Masks must be a solid piece of material without slits, exhalation valves or punctures.

Important COVID-19 Information

COVID-19, a highly infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus, is currently classified as a pandemic by public health authorities. It is associated with severe symptoms including acute respiratory issues, severe damage to lungs and other organs and death. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, and individuals over age 65 and people of any age who have certain underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. COVID-19 is not fully understood at this time, and understanding of the symptoms, risks and spread of the disease may change over time. Although NBAA will take all reasonable safety precautions to protect the health of participants, because thousands of attendees are expected, NBAA cannot guarantee that participants will not be exposed to COVID-19 during attendance at the event.

COVID-19 Liability Waiver/Assumption of Risk

All participants at the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum acknowledge that their participation is completely voluntary and that they understand the dangers of COVID-19 and the risks of exposure described above. All participants further acknowledge that they assume all risks associated with COVID-19 in connection with attendance at the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum, including risks to their own health and the health of others with whom they may come in contact during or after the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum (“Assumed Risks”). Additionally, all participants at the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum agree, on behalf of themselves, their heirs and assigns, and anyone who might assert a claim on their behalf, to release, indemnify and hold harmless NBAA, the the 2022 Miami-Opa locka Regional Forum venues, NBAA partners and their respective owners, directors, officers, employees, representatives, heirs and assigns from any and all liability, claims or causes of action that may be released under applicable law arising from or relating to the Assumed Risks. This release includes any claims for personal injury, disease, death, property loss or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and any right to seek damages.

Any person who attends an NBAA convention, conference, seminar or other program grants permission to NBAA, its employees and agents (collectively "NBAA") to record his or her visual/audio images, including, but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of NBAA, including advertisements for NBAA and its programs.
