New Features for 2022 NBAA-BACE Exhibitors Highlight Best Practices, Sustainability
Sept. 1, 2022
The association is investing in 2022 NBAA Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) exhibitors with two initiatives to help them accelerate their return-on-investment and continue to work toward a more sustainable industry.
New to NBAA-BACE is an “Exhibitor Effectiveness Evaluation” initiative, in which a company contracted by NBAA will work the show floor to identify exhibitors demonstrating show best practices.
“The team will not necessarily look for the biggest or splashiest booths, but will be judging effectiveness of messaging, staff engagement and other factors key to a great show,” said Chris Strong, NBAA’s senior vice president of events. “We believe this will provide a tangible return on investment for exhibitors.”
NBAA will share feedback with all exhibitors.
“These shows are enormous investments for organizations and we want to continue our long-standing practice of identifying and magnifying best practices,” added Strong.
The second initiative will utilize Honeycomb, an organization which examines sustainability.
The NBAA-BACE Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge aims to create a more sustainable show by reducing marketing materials, properly managing waste, conserving energy and broadly lessening the carbon footprint of the event. For example, NBAA will track landfill waste produced at the show in order to set goals for waste mitigation in future years.
“We want to acknowledge companies that commit in a real way to exhibiting at NBAA-BACE in a sustainable manner and hold these companies up as examples for other organizations to follow,” said Strong. “There is a great deal at stake here and we want to do our part.”
