About the Speaker – 2022 PDP Course: Safety Management Systems (SMS) for Business Aviation
Dr. Daniel Prather
C. Daniel Prather, Ph.D., D.B.A., A.A.E., CAM is an active educator, researcher, trainer, and industry consultant. He currently serving as Professor of Aviation Science at California Baptist University and President of DPrather Aviation Solutions and PDPCredit.com.
With ten years of airport management experience at Tampa International Airport and fourteen years of experience in collegiate aviation, Dr. Prather is past president of the University Aviation Association and author of two college-level textbooks – Airport Management and General Aviation Marketing and Management.
Dr. Prather conducts extensive research in the field of airport operations, unmanned aicrafr systems (UAS) and Safety Management Systems. He has completed ten national research projects for the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) of the Transportation Research Board (TRB).
Dr. Prather holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from California Southern University, a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, a Master of Public Administration degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Alabama, and a Bachelor of Commercial Aviation degree from Delta State University.
He is an Accredited Airport Executive, Certified Aviation Manager, and instrument-rated private pilot and a remote pilot with sUAS rating.
Any person who attends an NBAA convention, conference, seminar or other program grants permission to NBAA, its employees and agents (collectively "NBAA") to record his or her visual/audio images, including, but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of NBAA, including advertisements for NBAA and its programs.
