Video: NBAA Honors Nel Stubbs With Doswell Award

At 2023 NBAA-BACE, the association bestowed its prestigious John P. “Jack” Doswell Award to Nel Stubbs – a preeminent strategist in aviation tax planning, audits and financial analysis – for her guidance in optimizing ownership and use of business aircraft for countless entrepreneurs and companies worldwide. Stubbs’ many career achievements extend throughout the business aviation community.
Stubbs was a longtime employee of NBAA, joining the association in 1987 and becoming senior manager, tax issues in January 1993. She joined aviation research and consulting firm Conklin & de Decker in 1999 and became an owner in 2000, remaining with the company when it was acquired by JSSI in April 2018. She currently serves as vice president of JSSI’s Conklin & de Decker business unit. In addition to NBAA, Stubbs has lended her expertise to some of business aviation’s core entities, including the National Air Transportation Association, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Helicopter Association International.
Any person who attends an NBAA convention, conference, seminar or other program grants permission to NBAA, its employees and agents (collectively "NBAA") to record his or her visual/audio images, including, but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of NBAA, including advertisements for NBAA and its programs.
