NBAA PDP Course: Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Presenter: Jetlaw
Held in conjunction with the 2025 NBAA International Operators Conference, this course reviews the major compliance requirements of the DOT, FAA, IRS, TSA, OSHA and DOA. Participants will work through record keeping best practices and discuss audit standards and safety management systems. Participants will learn how to spot red flags in aircraft operating structures (for example, the flight department company trap and aircraft registration issues). This is an interactive course, not a lecture. The presenters will walk participants through operating scenarios and discuss possible outcomes and the legal implications of the participants’ decisions. For example, if ATC gives you a number, should you call? What happens if you receive a Letter of Investigation from the FAA? When should an operator use a timeshare instead of a dry lease? Participants are encouraged to participate in the discussions and share their experiences.
This course fulfills NBAA PDP Objectives Business Management BM2.
This session is eligible for CAM application and recertification credit.
