Trailblazing, 7-Time Olympic Medalist and Cancer Survivor Shannon Miller

Shannon MillerThe Gold Medal Mindset: Teamwork, Resilience and a Commitment to Excellence

Shannon Miller, one of the most decorated gymnasts in U.S. history, has achieved a legacy of excellence that continues to inspire. With seven Olympic medals (two gold, two silver, and three bronze), she is the only female athlete to be inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame Twice – individually and as a member of the legendary “Magnificent Seven” team that won the first-ever Team Gold for U.S. Women’s Gymnastics in 1996. She also became the first U.S. gymnast to win two World All-Around titles, and her five-medal haul at the 1992 Olympics was the most by any U.S. athlete in any sport that year, securing her place among the sport’s greatest. Her accomplishments extend beyond gymnastics, as she has become a role model for resilience, determination, and success.

After retiring from competition, Miller embraced new challenges with the same drive that defined her athletic career. She earned undergraduate degrees in marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Houston and a law degree from Boston College before founding a company devoted to helping women make their health a priority. A cancer survivor herself, after being diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer, Miller has turned her experience into a platform to inspire others, advocating for early detection, research, survivorship and awareness. She remains active in the gymnastics and Olympic communities as an analyst and commentator while continuing to travel the country as a sought-after motivational speaker.

At SDC2025, Miller will empower attendees to embrace challenges, overcome obstacles and achieve greatness in their own lives as she shares her signature inspiration and energy through a captivating presentation on “The Gold Medal Mindset: Teamwork, Resilience, and a Commitment to Excellence.” Don’t miss this rare opportunity to gain powerful insights from a true champion who knows what it takes to navigate tomorrow, today!
